Freeschoolin' Volunteers! & Much More!

Ever wonder what a week in the life of a Freeschoolin' Family looks like?

We learn from life each day without curriculum or schedule. We take care of our responsibilities and we dive into our passions. What Is Freeschoolin'? (Link)

Here's what we were up to this past week! We had Hope's Fairy Godparents up for a visit, Daddy had a busy long weekend working at wrestling shows and I illustrated while Hope coloured.

We had picnic with our dear horsey, River.

Freeschoolin' Daddy learned to use a real scythe in order to solve our hay shortage issue. In Ontario, Canada, the rain has prevented this year's first hay cutting in our area, so it's a widespread problem. River is fine though; we have tons of healthy grass for him to eat until there is hay to buy.

As a part of our Summer Bucket List we ventured to the local Sunset Drive In to see Despicable Me 3. It features an old 70's playground that we just love, it's close and we can go on cheap nights so it's frugal too.

We also have been having amazing family riding sessions with our horse.

There were some hot days so of course we had to get in some beach time!

And last, but certainly not least, we volunteered for the first time this summer at our favorite barn Big Curve Acres!

There were 6 day old baby pigs to handle (Such hard work. NOT!), teensy baby bunnies, a baby sheep and goats and so, so much more. We're hoping to volunteer at least once a week there.

I am going to do a video tour in the future so you can meet the animals; there are a lot more!

It would be easier to list what we didn't learn this week through Unschooling, rather than what we did.

No school or program could facilitate the kind of learning we take advantage of with this Freeschoolin' life. We're so grateful we found what works for our family!
