Unschooling Parents Don't Teach. They Inspire!

What Is Our Role As Unschooling Parents?

As Radical/Unschooling, Freeschoolin' Parents, our role doesn't involve teaching.

We show and explain when asked, we support, we INSPIRE!

An example from our week. Freeschoolin' Daddy was back from exercising our dog Sonic and decided to listen to an audiobook during a shower afterward. Hope heard it playing from her playroom and took her toys to join in some water play after Daddy was done and listen along.

The more she listens to stories, the more she wants to read and write them. Hope's vocabulary grows daily as she discovers the magical world of words she observes her Parents habitually immersed in. Often Hope will do things because we do. If we spend a lot of time at the computer, so does she. If we spend a lot of time creating, she does as well. When we are outside more often, she chooses to come with us. If we want to encourage our children in anything, the best place to start is being an inspiring example. Dive into your passions! Dig into your dreams! This is how our kids learn. By watching us. #WhatDoYouWantToLearn?
