👍Unschooling Is Easy Even When Life Isn't

Life is unpredictable. Sometimes sickness, challenges, tragedies and pitfalls can disrupt our routines and schedules and to manage, for those that attend school, time off is necessary. But, what if education never had to be interrupted? What if, even through difficult and/or stressful times, learning was always happening, no school necessary? Looking through the lens of Unschooling, this is our reality. If we wake up sick, we learn about taking care of ourselves, however long it takes to heal. If our car breaks down, we learn about stress management and problem solving. If we have a tragedy to mourn, we learn about emotional coping skills and support systems. If we become injured we learn about healing methods and decision making skills.

There is literally no reason to start or stop learning. It's always happening. In a classroom. In a hospital bed. In a garden. At home. If you're looking for a rich education style that flows with you and your family's individual life, Unschooling is amazing. This Week The 🎄holidays see our family laying low and weaving our days out around the crowds that amass during this time in town. We are very energy sensitive and there is a lot of stress that people carry around without being conscious of it so it's much easier for us to avoid busy places. We don't drink and were NOT reverse cycling around 🍸New Years so we went to bed early, when we felt tired. Hope made brownies with minimal assistance from me and we feasted on the last of our holiday cookies Jaze baked up. We gathered our organic/all natural animal products from our local suppliers and helped out the horses at Earth Valley Organics. Hope is getting so good at feedings. I'm so grateful for this experience she's growing up with. Hope and I did a bunch of puzzles, we started a stuffie project ( no pics yet sorry! ) and Hope and Jaze played a TON of Minecraft! There was also lots of drawing and Youtube watching. (Which started the stuffie project! 😃) Our unschool friends visited and of course we had a ton of fun and learned so much. We also had a few headaches and bouts of sickness due to being very energy sensitive but because of our lifestyle, we had no pressure to do anything but rest and recover. The freedom of Freeschoolin'.
