Hope's 1st Talent Show & More Unschooling Adventures!

Our Unschooled Week! A wonderful Un/Homeschool Club member organized a Holiday Talent Show for homeschool families and it was absolutely awesome! We all gathered in the afternoon for a fun rehearsal, sound test and of course playtime. I made celebratory homegrown, organic pumpkin pie (Hope's favourite) to enjoy afterwards.

For the show Hope performed, "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer", A Capella (No music accompaniment) as if she had been on stage all her life. She sang her little heart out and her Daddy and I were so touched. The other performers were wonderful and the show on a whole was so much fun to watch and participate in.

Afterwards, the kids played and the parents chatted before we cleaned up the venue for the night. A big thank you to the organizers, performers and attendees for making this a night to remember!

Our wonderful new friends at Art Atelier invited members of our Un/Homeschool Club over for a super fun holiday art class/event. Everyone was guided on how to make an adorable, festive polymer clay troll in their beautiful home studio. We then enjoyed refreshments and played games together; parents too! Thank you to our gracious hosts for an amazing time and for all the fun we had with our friends who attended!

We started an annual tradition last year of hitting up Cabela's for the holidays as they always have free fun going on. They offer crafts, colouring and a FREE professional holiday pic with Santa where you could even bring your dog!

Our car needed repairs ( yes, again lol ) so our good friends at Craft Auto took care of us, as always. I have never trusted a garage before so we feel really lucky to have these folks in our lives. If you are looking for good service at a good price and a friendly atmosphere, look no further than Craft Auto. We highly recommend them!

It snowed a ton here in Ontario, Canada so of course we had to take advantage and play in it!
