🚫 Weekly Homeschool MeetUps? No, Thanks.
👉Life is Crazy.👈
You don't need to be a homeschooler or an unschooler to know this is true. It's up, it's down, it's turned all around and no one can tell what will happen next.
As homesteaders and event planners, we must follow the seasons and weather as they come. As extreme energy sensitives we cannot predict how we will feel from one day to the next and we're still learning how to cope with these abilities. We have animals to care for (one of them being a horse), so we cannot leave the homestead for long periods of time unattended. Financially we are limited to what we can get involved in, but this will change with time, I am sure. These factors (there are more) are plenty enough to paint a picture depicting the difficulty of our family considering participating in any weekly social event. So we opt out. We host events that our family and others will enjoy. We go on fun family adventures. We invite friends over and visit them at their homes. We attend group events that do work for our family. Twice this week, I asked Hope if she feels she has enough friends and her grinning reply was, "I have tons of friends! Too many to count! I don't remember them all!". That's how I feel too Hope.
Thanks to our wonderful Un/Homeschool Community for being such an amazing group of people for all these years. If you're in it, you know what I mean. Everyone is so kind, so welcoming, so respectful. We have all kinds of families and all kinds of education styles. And we get along so very awesomely. If you're in the Barrie, Ontario, Canada area, please join us in The Un/Homeschool Club of Barrie and Surrounding Areas.
This Week
We put away Halloween, finally, and did lots of organizing. Hope worked on a project which involved writing, drew, played Minecraft with and without Jaze and of course roleplayed with toys, her most beloved activity. We had loads of fun playing, reading and doing peg art with our incredible Unschool friends and even learned how to make organic, raw ice cream! So amazing!! #nevernotlearning Our friends at Earth Valley Organics welcomed us over to learn about winter horse care on their farm and Hope got to help out with the horses. Subjects: Writing, Reading, Animal Care, Planning, Project Management, Conflict Resolution, Creative Thinking, Group Cooperation, All Ages Socialization, Homesteading, Nutrition, Dramatic Arts, Home Management, Technology, Math, Compassion, Energy Management, Problem Solving, So Much More.
