It's Not Back To School Time!
The sales are out, the rush is on!
It's the time of year where many families are scrambling to be ready in time for the beginning of the school year.
New clothes, new supplies, new teachers. Of course, seasonal store sales are something we all take advantage of if needed, but for the world of homeschoolers, things look much different. Some families are searching over lesson plans to use for the coming year. Some are prepping their homeschool areas/rooms to ensure a welcoming learning environment. Some are planning to attend the local Not Back To School events in their homeschool community. All of us are excited for empty parks, beaches and facilities when school is back in session. Many revel in their relaxed homeschool morning routine, so unlike the rush of getting the kids to school on time. Our family hosts an annual beach meet up to gather as many homeschoolers and unschoolers as possible to meet new folks and connect with old friends. We usually bring our LARP weapons, and a picnic, and spend the day in the sun while school is in session.

This Week
Our garden is producing delicious organic produce, our tent died after 3 years of heavy use so we got another and camped out, we volunteered at Big Curve Acres 3 days instead of 2 and took home Pumba for 2 sleep overs, which included a visit with dear friends of ours. Hope also bought some horse stuffies with her money at the Big Curve Acres gift shop that she is in love with.
Hope had lots of fun doing her Kiwi Crates sweetly gifted by our beloved unschool friends, drew and coloured, played Animal Jam, Minecraft, and of course, watched Youtube.
Sunday (yesterday) we attended a super fun birthday party for a wonderful girl in our homeschool group whose family we absolutely adore! Alana and Mark from Earth Valley Organics hosted an awesome party for their family and friends to celebrate their daughter's birthday complete with a dunk tank, horsey fun, trampolining, amazing food and more! There was a beautiful tour of their organic farm with lots of questions answered and amazing connection with each other and the land. We all had a great time and we are so thankful to have been invited!
