Lazy Summer Learning
When we're Freeschoolin, we're learning every day! Now that summer has officially hit, we're slowing down from all the group homeschool activities we planned and taking advantage of the weather together as a family. We've been horse back riding on our 23 year old rescue steed, River! We have lots of plans for our family "horsecamp" this summer.
The campsite on our land is our perfect frugal get away so we've been spending a lot of time sleeping and cooking outdoors.
Our super cool Unschool friends visited which is always so much fun I forget to take pictures! They brought us a beautiful box of fresh veggies from an all natural farm which we are SERIOUSLY enjoying!!! We did our monthly haul at Nicholyn Farms, the farm we buy our naturally raised chicken, pork and other items from. We brought The Un/Homeschool Club here for a field trip in May.
The heat drove us to the beach where we cooled off, enjoyed fresh, no spray strawberries and played in the park.
Some wonderful friends invited us over for a Friday Night visit and we had a blast together! The kids played, the parents talked, everyone bonded and there was lots of fun. <3 :) We all can't wait to do it again!
Hope is recognizing words like animal, has been drawing up a storm, singing, roleplaying and she did an unboxing video I'll be sharing soon on Youtube. This is Unschooling/Freeschoolin'. No worries that we didn't cover a subject because we know that the mind learns what it needs to when it's truly uninhibited. We have confidence that a passionate life can teach us all we need to know, when we need to know it.
