Freeschoolin' in 2019!
Happy New Year All!
What a year it has been and we are so excited for the year ahead! Year In Review
2018 saw us through a lot of challenges and triumphs.
We made amazing new friends, said good bye to those we thought were friends, got our awesome wheels and went on super fun adventures. We LARPed, laughed and learned so much. We volunteered at various places, released The Freeschoolin' Journal and did some interviews about our homeschooling and unschooled life. 2019 Plans This year, we have a lot in store. We plan to bring our province's un/homeschool community together for a first ever Waterpark Meetup and run many LARP events both privately and for our Un/Homeschool Club. A big focus will be finding and uniting the Unschool community in our area, a dream of ours. We have a bucket list of places we want to discover and explore, both local and further away, so we'll be tackling them one by one. And of course sharing it all with you! We have several books in the works, including the brand new release of the first book "Freeschoolin': Life Is My School!" which will bring to fruition all the hard work and vision we've had for this series from the start, and set the tone for the rest of our published works. Stay tuned to our Bookstore for release dates and book progress. We plan to homestead the heck out of 2019 and grow more for harvest than ever before with organic and cover/no till methods. We also have lots of plans for our horse, River, who will be turning 23 in April. Our big goal is to run our home more minimalistic and streamlined so that we can spend more time enjoying life and learning together as a family. What We've Been Up To Hope has been sick on and off since Dec 22, the worst ever in her life. But do not worry, we've been taking excellent care of her and we're still learning lots. We've had to miss out on several social events with our friends and the community (she's about to miss out on a first; a bday party she was invited to, poor girl) but we are confident this is only making way for a healthy year ahead with the best people possible. In between bouts of illness, we managed to celebrate the holidays, hit up a Zoo show at a Library we've never been to, make bead creations, walk in the forest, play with our horsey, roleplay, make some lovely art and have fun with play sand.
