Fun, Frugal, Sugar-Free Freeschoolin' Birthday
Hope turned 8 last week!
She requested a Five Nights at Freddie's Party with friends, some specific toys, lazer tag and to be surprised. So we invited Hope's "Fairy Godparents" and our homeschool friends and partied! The first party was a week before her actual birthday. Hope awoke to the house decorated like Freddie Fazbear's Pizzeria and a gift to open; a Five Nights at Freddie's T-shirt!
Next was a surprise of Lazer Tag and Trampoline fun at XPlay!
To finish the night off, we came home and opened presents, had delicious, homemade organic pizza and enjoyed refined sugar-free cupcakes by the campfire where everyone sang Happy Birthday to Hope as she blew out her candle.
The second party was on Hope's birthday. She woke up to more decorations, presents and a balloon her Great Grandma delivered. In the afternoon, our friends came over for a campfire cookout birthday dinner we prepared. We roasted weenies over the fire and ate them with fresh baked corn bread muffins, veggies and dip, and for dessert, pumpkin pie! (Actually butternut squash; you'd never know the difference.) All organic, all refined sugar-free.
The toys we couldn't reduce the price on, but we made our own food, spent no more than 20 dollars in decorations for both parties with items I can reuse, went to XPlay on half price day and held the parties at home. This greatly reduced cost and in no way impeded on our fun.
Thank you to all our amazing party guests for coming and making this the best birthday Hope has ever had!
